Terms of Use

Last updated August 2026

These terms cover your use of Prompts House. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your account

You're responsible for the security of your account and everything published under it. Accounts found to be spamming, manipulating trust signals (fake stars, fake feedback, vote manipulation), impersonating someone else, or publishing harmful content may be suspended — see our Community Guidelines for specifics. A suspended account's content is preserved, not deleted, while the suspension is reviewed.

Content you publish

You keep ownership of prompts and other content you publish. When you publish a prompt, you choose a license for it (shown on the prompt itself) — ranging from fully open community reuse to all rights reserved. Forks, contributions, and version history all carry attribution to the people who made them; that attribution is part of how the product works and isn't something you can retroactively erase from prompts other people have already forked or built on.

Don't publish content you don't have the right to share, or content that infringes someone else's copyright. We respond to legitimate copyright concerns raised through the report flow.

Acceptable use

Use Prompts House to discover, build, and share prompts that work. Don't use it to distribute malware-generating prompts, harassment, illegal content, or prompts designed primarily to extract harmful output from AI systems. Don't attempt to abuse the anonymous-feedback system, scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or circumvent rate limits and moderation.

Third-party AI providers

Prompts House helps you customize and copy prompts, and links out to AI providers you choose (like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to run them. What happens on those providers — including any data you submit there — is governed by that provider's own terms, not ours. Where a feature runs a prompt directly through Prompts House, that is called out explicitly in the product; we don't send your content anywhere without telling you.

No warranty

Prompts are community-contributed and community-tested, not professionally certified. Trust signals (helpful percentages, freshness, verification) reflect the best available signal at the time and are not a guarantee that any specific prompt will produce a specific result. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
