Community Guidelines

Prompts House works because people can trust what they find here: that a prompt's stars and helpful percentage reflect real usage, that a fork or a suggested improvement is a real attempt to make something better, and that the person behind a profile is who they say they are. These guidelines exist to protect that.

Contribute helpfully

Publish prompts you've actually tried and that do what they say. Write an accurate summary and description — don't oversell a prompt's capabilities. When suggesting an improvement to someone else's prompt, explain what changed and why; vague or drive-by suggestions make review harder for everyone.

No spam or duplicates

Don't publish near-identical copies of the same prompt to farm visibility, mass-publish low-effort content, or use tags and categories that don't genuinely apply just to appear in more places. If you're improving on an existing prompt, fork it — that preserves attribution and version history instead of fragmenting the same idea across disconnected copies.

No malicious or harmful prompts

Prompts designed to generate malware, phishing content, harassment, illegal content, or to circumvent an AI provider's own safety measures aren't welcome here, regardless of how the request is framed.

Respect copyright

Only publish content you have the right to share. If a prompt is substantially someone else's copyrighted material, or reproduces content you don't have permission to redistribute, it doesn't belong on Prompts House.

No impersonation

Don't create an account pretending to be another person, brand, or organization, and don't claim authorship of a prompt you didn't write or fork through the normal flow.

Don't manipulate trust signals

Stars, helpful/not-helpful feedback, and copy counts exist to help people find prompts that actually work. Creating fake accounts or using automation to inflate them — or to unfairly deflate a competitor's prompt — undermines the entire point of the product and will get an account suspended.

No abusive behavior

Harassment, hate speech, and targeted abuse toward other contributors — in prompt content, suggestions, comments, or reports — aren't tolerated.

Reporting a problem

Every prompt has a Report option. See Report content for how review works. Violations of these guidelines can result in content being hidden, a prompt being archived, or an account being suspended, depending on severity.
